CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

Introduction
The Cultural Activities Office deals with cultural management and assistance to the University Community and, therefore, its work includes the preparing of cultural programming to cope with the needs and demands of the university as regards cultural activities. Thus, a specific area is reserved for non-teaching cultural action, which is developed under the following:
- Programming of Cultural Activities: Nights at Fonseca.
- Programming of Activities of the Academy of Ancient Music.
- Programming of Activities of Photography (IMAGO).
The stable programming of cultural activities for the university community and the social milieu; i.e., cultural diffusion,
Support for university creativity, both in covering its needs and in its diffusion and promotion.
Providing of services and infrastructure.
The petitions of the university community should be channelled through specific, developed projects, addressed to the Cultural Activities Office. These projects should contain at least the following data:
- Applicant or applicants (individuals, institutions, associations, bodies, etc.).
- Detailed description of the project.
- Periods for development and execution of the project.
- Needs of the project as regards infrastructure and services.
- Detailed budget for the whole project.
- Subsidies the project has (if this is the case).
- Subsidy and support requested.
The Commission for Student Assistance is periodically informed of the activities and projects of this Office, and analyses its functioning.
